Adding to this, Member of the Board of Directors – Healthcare Portfolio, Julia Alleyne, said this is not the first occasion that the BBCA has given back. In the past, the group has “donated a number of chairs for the kidney dialysis unit.
“We have donated money for specific supplies on request and over the last few years, we have been involved with supporting the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with the Caribbean Paediatric Oncology initiative, which is a joint venture between the hospital for sick and a number of different nations and their healthcare providers.”
She also revealed that the BBCA is hoping to donate another microscope to the department in future.
